Bucciarelli Chianti Classico, 2018

The Bucciarelli family has farmed the Podere Casanova for close to a century, originally as sharecroppers and, since 1982, as owners. Before the Bucciarellis, the estate of vineyards and olive groves belonged, for hundreds of years, to the descendants of Michelangelo Buonarroti (yes, that Michelangelo). This Chianti Classico is made of 100% sangiovese exclusively from the estate’s vineyards. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in cement tank, it ages in a combination of Slavonian and old Tuscan oak casks. Bright cherry shines with earthy dark berries, tobacco, and spice. Certified organic.
