NOTES- Domaine des Sablonnettes Menard le Rouge is an earthy, fruity, funky, lighter body red with a tannic structure to pair with lively plum and cherry notes. All rolled together with crisp acidity and forest floor qualities. Can come off with a bit of a tickle!

Grapes from several plots. Planted by raymond and marie madeleine menard and by joél and christine menard. Grand parents and parents of jérémy. The plots do not mature at the same time. They are harvested individually when maturity is reached.Gamay at the bottom of the vat, then addition of Grolleau, chenin and cabernet sauvignon macerated together. Blending at the end of fermentation. This cuvée is a family hymn, in tribute to grandfather Auguste (nicknamed "Ménard Le Rouge"), whose red mustaches appear on the label. The red, the hammer and the secateurs nod to Auguste’s personality and his activism… because he was a laborer in the vineyards and was one of the first to claim a fair price for this work. Tasting: Airy and gourmet, very easy to drink! Perfect for a barbecue. Aging potential: Drink now Degree of service: 14 ° and 16 ° Food and wine pairing: Cold meats, Savory pies, Quiches, White meat, Red meat
