Bloodroot, Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, 2023

Chardonnay gets a bad rap but when done well it maintains its status as one of the best white wines of the world. Here we start with prime cool climate fruit, preserve its energy through cool fermentations and use of mostly stainless steel and neutral oak. Finally, we give it that final kiss of plushness with a judicious use of new French oak barrels. The result is top notch Sonoma Coast Chardonnay for a very friendly price.
