Domaine Geschikt, Khepri Alsace Grand Cru 'Kaefferkopf'

NOTES- This is the first time that Geschickt has used an amphora to mature one of the wines – and an amazing feat it has been!

The grapes have come from the incredible terroir of the Kaefferkopf Grand Cru vineyard which sits just behind the village of Ammerschwihr. This Grand Cru is somewhat of an aberration in Alsace as all other Grand Crus are a single site whereas this one has three separate sites each on limestone and granite soils.
