Elisa Guerin Moulin a Vent, La Vigne de Mon Pere, 2022

NOTES-This is 100% Gamay from one of the old family plots at the very beginning of organic conversion, planted  over loam-y granite, peppered with limestone and quartz. The vines are between 30 and 50 years old. The grapes undergo a semi-carbonic maceration in whole bunches, with occasional pump-overs. Fermented and raised in concrete tanks without filtration for approximately 15 months.

Floral aromas and a balance of muscularity and elegance, with grippy tannins. The dark, inky fruit has a savory, almost Burgundian character, with dense concentration.
