Cantina Furlani, Mae Son Rosso Frizzante 2022

NOTES - Mae Son is a second project from Matteo Furlani of Cantina Furlani.  The Mae Son or "My Home" wines come from a 6 hectare practicing biodynamic vineyard in the alpine region of northern Italy called Trentino-Alto Adige.  Its a blend of old indigenous mountain varietals including Pavana, Rosara, Negrara and Turca. This vibrant red colored fizzy wine reminds us of lambrusco, but lighter and more playful, juicy cherry red fruits intermingle with the old school--a kiss of leathery barnyard aromas and earth firmly keeps it's Italian stamp on this wine.  An unreal price point and just an absolutely delicious and complex sparkling red wine.
