Les Lunes Wine, Populis California Rosé 2023

NOTES - 

A depth of flavor underlies this light wine. Its primary blend of Zinfandel and Pinot gris give a delicious rosé/orange wine palate, with Nero d’avola and Colombard bringing serious acidity. Cinsault contributes some extra fruit and color, and Muscat boosts the nose with beautiful aromatics. A refreshing, versatile wine that is sure to be your summer go-to.

All the vineyards are farmed organically throughout Northern California (Mendocino Zin & Colombard, Clarksburg Pinot Gris, Sierra Foothills Nero d'Avola & Cinsault, and Lodi Muscat). The Zinfandel and Colombard were direct pressed. The Pinot Gris and Muscat macerated with their skins for five days. The Nero d'Avola saw foot stomping before pressing. The Cinsault underwent carbonic maceration.

Populis came about as a thirst to create lighthearted, naturally made, (almost too easily) drinkable wines from organically farmed vineyards throughout Northern California. This Rose is fresh and tropical with a perfect balance of juiciness and crispness.
